Brand New for Summer Reading 2008!!
Back Yard Bugs takes a look at the insects in our back yards and beyond! For instance . . . Are crickets really good luck if you find them in your house? Can you really tell how old a lady bug is by how many spots she has? And based on physics, a bumble bee shouldn't be able to fly, but they do! One of your young readers will fly (or at least float!).
Those are just a few of the highlights in this fun-filled, action packed educational assembly program that strongly encourages reading. Take your students to the "Back Yard" and beyond without leaving the building!
Watch the entire student body become a part of the ship's crew and end up cheering for a treasure hunt in the library - all using the Dewey Decimal System as a Treasure Map. This 'treasure hunt' requires NO preparation on your part because the books are the treasure!
