Operation Investigation: A Journey In Scientific Investigation is a hilarious assembly program that teaches Elementary Science Indicators measured by state mandated testing. Laugh out loud as you witness simple ways that music, puppets, magic, storytelling and humor can be used to encourage students to read more while exciting them about the learning process.
Watch as the entire student body becomes a part of the investigation to find a missing pocket watch. While their attention is focused on the program, the teaching elements are presented within the context of the program.
The indicators covered in the program have been expressed by science teachers as some of the 'more difficult' to teach. Students will learn and retain the information presented in this format because they experience the learning in a fun and exciting way.
As clues are uncovered and we get closer to finding out what happened to the watch, we'll be learning about transparent, translucent and opaque; solid, liquid and gas; concave and convex lenses, mirrors, fingerprints and more. The students are also taught about how to learn more on each of the topics in the library through the Dewey Decimal System.
Age Appropriate for K - 5th
