Travel Information

Here you'll find helpful information regarding your trip.

Which airport should I fly into?

We recommend that you fly into the Charleston International Airport (CHS). It is only 12 miles from the cruise terminal.

How do I get to the cruise terminal?

We can line up transfers for you (for a fee) through Carnival that will get you from the airport to the pier and back to the airport. We will also be lining up a hotel for the group and transportation may be provided through the hotel we choose. More details about this are forthcoming.

More information on the Port of Charleston is available HERE.

What time should I schedule my arrival flight?

We recommend that you schedule your arrival flight into Charleston no later than 1pm.

In order to ensure that everyone has time to pass through security, all guests must check in 60 minutes prior to departure. If you have not checked in 60 minutes prior, you will be considered a 'no show' and your booking will be cancelled and cancellation penalties applied. For the convenience of passengers, the terminal will open to embarking passengers at 10am.

What time should I schedule my departure flight?

Allow yourself plenty of time between departing the ship and the time you need to board your flight home. Remember that you must go through customs when you get off the ship.

We recommend you schedule your departure flight no earlier than 12 noon on January 22nd.

Get Your Passport!

Carnival highly recommends all guests travel with a passport (valid for at least six months beyond completion of travel). Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens taking cruises that begin & end in the same U.S. port, travelling with a passport enhances your disembarkation experience, as delays may be expected upon your return to the U.S. if you do not have one. Additionally, passports make it easier for you to fly from the U.S. to a foreign port should you miss your scheduled port of embarkation, or need to fly back to the U.S. for emergency reasons.

"The CreativityAtSea.com was a fantastic experience. I made new friends and was able to share personal stories about magic that only a fellow magician would understand. The concept of partnering a cruise ship vacation and a magic convention is brilliant! They are two of my favorite activities combined into one by the CAS experience."
