Cruise Information

Here's some information about the cruise portion of your trip.

New Orleans, Louisiana

We'll leave from New Orleans, LA on Sunday, January 15th. Here, in this little corner of the American South, where European traditions blend with Caribbean influences, the history is as colorful as the local architecture; the food is the stuff of legend. Haitian and African Creoles developed an exotic, spicy cuisine and were instrumental in creating jazz and Zydeco. Why not come in a day or two early to see this amazing city.

Our Sailing Itinerary

Costa Maya, Mexico

With acres of unspoiled coastal land, vast natural resources and rich historic and cultural influences, Costa Maya offers visitors true insight into the essence of Mayan culture and the heritage of the Mexican Caribbean. Costa Maya has the highest concentration of Mayan archeological sites and the largest existing Mayan population in Mexico.

It is the first Western Caribbean port designed exclusively for the cruise ship industry and is strategically located just hours from Cancun on Mexico's southern Yucatan Peninsula. Resembling an ancient Mayan city, Costa Maya is able to accommodate three ships at once, with the capability to dock Oasis and Epic sized ships, and entertain visitors at a destination that showcases the ancient and colonial heritage of the Mexican Caribbean with all of today's modern conveniences.

Set against the deep turquoise sea, Costa Maya is comprised of three grand pavilions, artisan and costamaya shopping areas, a beach club, saltwater pools, fine restaurants and bars, and all the resources necessary to explore the surrounding jungle and coral reefs. It is the region's most complete and diverse port of call, providing cultural, natural and archeological excursions. Costa Maya is one of ten ports in the Western Caribbean and is the winner of Seatrade Insider's Port of the Year.

Belize City, Belize

Spectacular natural attractions and the excitement of discovering Mother Nature's Best Kept Secret draw travelers from around the globe, promising both relaxation and the richly rewarding authenticity they seek in a genuine Caribbean getaway. Nestled between Mexico and Guatemala on the Caribbean coast of Central America, Belize is one of the few remaining unspoiled places on earth.

Roatan, Honduras

Roatan is a beautiful tropical Caribbean island with stunning views of the sea with its shades of blue, lush vegetation, and gorgeous sunsets. It has the contour of a gentle mountain ridge rising from the sea and stretching from the southwest to the northeast. Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands, which are a part of Honduras, lying just over 30 miles from the northern coast of the Honduran mainland. Scuba Diving Roatan Roatan is known around the world for its scuba diving. The reef surrounding the island attracts beautiful tropical fish and snorkelers alike. Dive attractions include sea walls, shipwrecks, and night diving. Sea turtles, dolphins, and whales swim in the waters of Roatan.

Cozumel, Mexico

Mexico's largest island, Cozumel, is a heady mix of cosmopolitan restaurants, hotels and shops set amidst astounding natural beauty. It has become famous for its superb scuba diving, and also as a cruise ship destination where stylish amenities are offered in a simple island atmosphere. Cozumel's only town, San Miguel, has a laid back elegance combining the charming remnants of colonial Mexico with the conveniences of modern life. Its heart and soul is the center plaza, known officially as Parque Benito Juarez, but often referred to as the zocalo, or simply as Plaza Central . Shops, restaurants and hotels surround the plaza, and since the whole area is blocked off to traffic, it can become quite crowded. Still, the area is a pleasant place for a paseo (walk), particularly on Sunday evenings when the locals gather to enjoy the free open-air concerts and dances. The main stretch, Avenida Rafael Melgar, is lined with high-end jewelry boutiques, souvenir shops, department stores and restaurants.

Norwegian Spirit

The Norwegian Spirit is all about traveling in style. Cruise to the blue Caribbean, the pink sands of Bermuda or colorful coastline of Canada and New England. While at sea, check out the Tivoli Pool, four outdoor hot tubs, two Aquaswim water "treadmills" and, for the kids, Buccaneer's Wet & Wild. And that's just the beginning - you can also enjoy the 14 dining options, 10 bars and lounges, Maharajah's Casino and the Roman Spa & Fitness Center. The Spirit holds 2018 passengers, is 881 feet long and weighs in at 75,338 tons.
